Patrik Tircher

Patrick Tircher
lives and works as a freelance artist in Augsburg. Born on January 20th, 1988 in Starnberg, grew up in Tutzing. While he was still at school, he worked for the yacht designer Klaus Röder, where he learned the basics of CAD drawing and 3D construction. In 2005 he started working as a freelancer for the design office Löwendesign. Here he specializes in the creation of 3D lasts and the design of protective work clothing, especially protective work shoes and sole design. After graduating from the Samuelheinicke Fachoberschule in Pasing in 2007, he began working as a freelancer in various branches of the company Kohlhaas Messebau, with the aim of gaining a foothold as a designer in the company. He initially financed his studies at the Munich University of Applied Sciences for industrial design by working independently at kohlhaas messebau and Loewen Design. At the same time, he begins to work for the set designer Hannes Schuller as a sculptor and production design assistant. This activity arouses such a fascination in him that he is no longer sure about his choice of career as an industrial designer.
After his student internship at the kohlhaas company and the completed bachelor thesis in 2012 on the subject of sustainable trade fair construction, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. There he studied new media from 2013 in the class of Klaus von Bruch, later Julian Roosefeldt and stage design and costume design with Katrin Brack. In the same year he became the father of Alon Güldner. At the academy he discovered his passion for video art. As a VJ he earns a living in clubs like the Rote Sonne and the MMA and he continues to work as a set dresser and set design assistant for various companies and productions such as PlanB, Art Venture and Simon Rees.
During a study project "The endless fun" with the theater collective anstart.org, he met the director Ulf Goerke, with whom he then realized various plays as a video artist and stage designer. Among other things, in 2015 the play "am Boden" with Louisa Stroux at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. In 2017 he started a part-time job as a 3D designer and CAM programmer at Saurus. He then worked again as a freelance set designer and props manager at the opera festival in Gut Immling, among others.
Between 2018 and 2019 Patrik Tircher worked as a freelance artist in his studio at Augsburgerstraße 13 in Munich and, among other things, realized an interreligious prayer room for the BRK-Kieferngarten facility. Since the 20/21 season he has been a permanent set assistant at the State Opera in Augsburg.
